Hey there, pilgrim!
I'm Dr. Nick Potter (better known as "Wily Old Nick"),
head of the Tuk-U Outdoor Recreation Department. I'm just
about the best tracker anywhere north of Alert and I'm here
to help you play this game. It's pretty easy, even for a tenderfoot.
Just mind that you follow these instructions:
1. I'm going to show you a map of the Northwest Territories.
Place your mouse over any spot on the map and wait for me
to come up in a smaller window.
2. When I do appear, I'll be telling you where you are in
relation to your target. I'll try to be kinder and gentler
than the last time, when I told Frostbite McPhee that he couldn't
find his . . . never mind. (They tell me this is supposed
to be a family website.)
3. Move your mouse around slowly on the map, looking
for the best direction to go. Take your
time and don't go too fast -- I'm a tracker, doggone
it, not a track star. But don't worry -- I'll keep updating
you. (Hint: watch the bear tracks beside me to check your
progress.)
4. If I disappear, check for
"Nick says" on your task bar. Click on that icon
to make me come back.
5. When your hard work pays off and you get to the secret
destination, I'll pop up a new window to tell you all about
it.
