January
2002's alumni photo winner was Tuk-U graduate André Corbeil,
pictured here in the finest of vintage TukWear. André's historical
photo was analyzed by Dr. Rory McNuttall, head of Tuk-U archaeology,
for clues to its origin. After careful study, he deduced that André
must be a descendant of the famous "Camlaren Corbeils" of
the early 1800's -- known across the North as hardy explorers and
connoisseurs of fine beer. Dr. McNuttall further hypothesizes that
André was captured on film just moments after hardily exploring
a friend's refrigerator.
December
2001's alumni photo winner was Tuk-U graduate Jason Austin. Jason's
prize-winning photo was shot at the train station in Le Havre, France,
where he was taking time out of his busy travel schedule to enjoy
a cold French brew.
He reports that his Tuk-U baseball cap caught the eye of many a French
person who stopped to ask him where he had found such a fine "chapeau."
Although he was offered several items in trade (even a Citroen car),
Jason kept his head and hung on to his cap. He says his trip was a
great success (he was in Europe researching the findings of the GfK
Fashion Scope survey), and that he wouldn't hesitate to take his TukWear
on his next big adventure!
